Pre-construction services

With our pre-construction services, we’re able to provide value to clients with the goal of reducing cost and schedule and maximizing productivity and efficiency during the construction phase. Our ability to develop a reliable conceptual budget based on early schematic drawings and discussions with the client allows our clients to make educated decisions on cost, design and financing. Working with the client and design team at the beginning of the project allows us to minimize the risk of projects being over budget. ECON believes in collaborating with our clients and Design Team members early and often. In our experience, this is the best way to achieve a client’s vision, ensure fiscal responsibility and complete the project on time.

Our years in the general contracting industry has given us insight on what it takes for success at every stage-from pre-construction design through construction to post-construction. We know that every project is different and requires a unique approach. Having an active working relationship works both ways; not only does this help achieve better results but also helps keep costs under control through careful planning during all stages. With extensive knowledge of the local subcontracting community and ECONs combined 32+ years in San Diego and Los Angeles we have built multiple strong relationships with key subcontractors to ensure the client receives a fair market-driven price and alignment on each project.

Construction Management

Understanding the importance of collaboration & communication is a key point in Construction Management. Collaborating with the client’s design team to identify potential cost or construction issues early in the process will not only allow our team to identify potential issues, but we will also provide solutions to satisfy all parties involved. We have experience in working with local architects and engineers as the Construction Manager in numerous projects over the years.
