Principal, CEO
Eric Aguilera
Eric is the founder and CEO of ECON Construction and brings with him a long history in the business. He began working as a project engineer for one of the Western Regions biggest general contractor before creating ECON Construction in 2008. ECON first focused on maintaining hundreds of homes during the recession. From there, ECON grew quickly over four years, renovating more than 500 homes and servicing over 50 million square feet of businesses across Southern California. Until 2016, Eric also led EA Ventures, an investment company with a 50-million-dollar fund for the acquisition and disposition of distressed properties. ECON then pivoted its focus and, since 2019, has concentrated solely on multi-family ground-up and renovation construction, and in 2020 became a fully integrated Procore company.
Through the years, Eric has led short- and long-term strategies, managed customer relations, and built a well-known reputation for retaining clients because of his team’s readiness to go the extra mile. Now, Eric continues to be the problem solver and the backbone of support to the entire ECON team. Residing in Southern California since 2002, he leverages long-term relationships with city and government officials to make project completion swift and seamless. He believes in putting himself in the field before setting things in motion and shares these hands-on values with Andy and Geoff, who’ve joined forces with Eric to make ECON an even more well-rounded and proficient team that surpasses client expectations.
